Calm, experienced & understanding

My approach

As a Dietitian I have been referred countless patients over the years that very sadly do not known what to eat anymore, and I have been there myself. This may be due to medical symptoms, stress and anxiety, fear, or big life changes that may be out of our control. Often it is a combination of factors, adding to the challenge.

At these times it’s very difficult to filter through the information online and find simple yet effective nutrition and lifestyle advice, whilst being shown empathy and understanding. I set up this practice to really offer the time and energy required to understand your situation and support lasting growth and change. That is why you will find all my consultations allow up to 1 hour, because nutrition and lifestyle change is highly personal and complex.

I always work holistically and will consider the impact of stress, routine, sleep, exercise and existing medical conditions and medications on your situation. Diet is only one part of the picture and it’s important not to put too much weight on this, food is something that can be enjoyed. It’s about finding balance and strategies to cope with inevitable fluctuations, which can be really difficult on your own.

My approach is evidence-based whilst considering the benefit of complementary therapies. I will always look to advise you as best I can on whatever you are exploring and make my strategies as affordable and as environmentally friendly as possible.

To use the term Registered Dietitian in the UK, I must be HCPC registered by law. This holds me to a code of conduct ensuring that I put your best interests first and that I continue to develop and improve my practice, staying up to date with the latest research and guidance.
